The Process
How Annie's Acting Career Consultations Work
While every engagement is unique, we generally follow a three-part format designed to move your career forward.
Part 1
Career & Marketing Materials Review
Before your first meeting, Annie will ask you to send materials that help her understand you as an individual, as a talent, and your career goals — and identify where changes may be needed.
Materials Annie asks for:
- Phone number
- Headshots
- Resume
- Reels & self-tapes
- Actors Access profile
- Casting Networks profile
- Website (if one exists)
- Agent representation information
- Agent/Casting Director submission cover letter(s)
- Career overview (as client sees fit)
- Main performance career goal for the upcoming year
- Secondary short-term goals supporting that main goal
Part 2
One-Hour One-on-One Virtual Consultation
During your session, Annie shares suggestions about your marketing materials, what changes may be needed, and which new materials to create. She'll outline clear next-step strategies, including stage and screen projects that fit your unique talent — and you'll have time to ask questions.
You'll also receive:
- One-month full-access trial of Up-To-Date Actor
- 20% discount on a paid future subscription
- Targeted agent / manager lists and referrals
- Cover letter and resume samples
- 13 essential marketing tools overview
- Acting career coach and training resources
- Actor reel production companies
- … and more
Part 3
The Five-Day Follow-Up
After your one-on-one, Annie gives you 5 consecutive business days of follow-up email collaboration — answering questions from your consultation and reviewing any homework she's assigned.
The Five-Day Follow-Up is one of the most important parts of UTDA's 3-Part Consultation. Completing the homework and sending updates back for Annie's review is critical to keeping momentum and taking your acting career to the next level.
Pro tip
Treat the follow-up as a sprint, not an afterthought — the actors who put in the work here see the biggest shifts.
Returning Clients
Additional Consultations
If you'd like ongoing support, you can sign up for additional 1-hour consultations. This is available to returning clients who have been active with Up-To-Date Actor and our services within a 6-month period. After a 6-month period of inactivity, you'll be considered a new client.
Ongoing acting career coaching services include:
- A review of marketing materials (submitted at least 24 hours prior to session).
- Access to the resource section on UTDA.
- 3 business days of email follow-up availability with feedback on information outlined during the consultation — an abbreviated version of the Five-Day Follow-Up.
