Year End Review - Strike Effects - Streaming - Awards & Festivals
By Abigail Hardin, December 20, 2023
Happy Holidays, UTD!
January production normally kicks in around the 3rd week of the New Year but not this year! Get ready for abundant FIlm/TV opportunities to roar into early January. UTD clients already booking work and getting interviews for new representation. However, some actors are still waiting and not in the production energy flow that has already started. We at UTDA have been preaching to use the production pause to get all your marketing materials updated, create your targeted CDs /project lists and start your new representation campaigns. There are less than two weeks left of 2023, so dive back into the performance arena with renewed energy and take positive, proactive steps to rejuvenate your career success!
Decision Time
You are the primary motivator of your career, not your agent or manager. If you haven't already defined what you want to manifest in 2024, stop right now and spend some time with yourself and your Spirit guides. Make a decision to commit to creating what you really want, decree it so every day and spend at least 1-2 hours on imagining new ideas and action steps to manifest this decision.
W.H. Murray summed up the power of decision-making perfectly:
“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. I have learned great respect for one of Goethe’s couplets. ‘Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.’†— W.H. MURRAY
I encourage you to carve out some time before the year ends to reflect on the past year and create a clear plan for the year ahead!
Happy Holidays! ☃ï¸
