SAG-AFTRA Deadline Looms - Strike Updates - Film/TV Tax Credits - Theatre News
By Abigail Hardin, July 11, 2023
Happy July, UTD!
I hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July with family and friends. Everyone is on pins and needles to see what the outcome will be from the SAG-AFTRA and AMPTP contract negotiations. An extension was agreed to at the June 30th deadline, but that extension is set to run out tomorrow, July 12th, at 11:59 PM ET.
As Annie and I have been saying throughout the WGA strike, these Summer months are not a time to sit and mope over the current state of affairs. Use this time to reflect and review all of your marketing materials. Set some new goals for the Fall once production revs up again. To help you with this, we have been fleshing out more of our resources, specifically Annie's list of 13 Essential Marketing tools.
Up-To-Date Actor members now have immediate access to Annie's tips and suggestions on how to set up, revise, and refine their marketing tools. Log on to your account and navigate to our Resources section from the main navigation. Enjoy the slower Summer season, but also invest some time in revamping your marketing tools!
Lastly, Annie and I are holding a free workshop on Seeking Representation During the WGA Strike this Thursday, 7/13. We will, of course, update you with the SAG-AFTRA negotiation status and provide as much insight and advice.

This is a huge moment for our industry. While the road may be bumpy, our unions are fighting to protect us from potential misuse of new technology and provide fair working wages.

We’re seeking talented and charismatic actors for UGC who are comfortable and confident taping themselves remotely (yes, you can be located anywhere in the world and still work with us).
We pay actors a minimum of $100 for ~1 hour of UGC work. More if it's a bigger project or complex. You can film most projects at home or on the go. We are looking for actors over age 20 of all ethnicities and backgrounds.
If you would like to be considered for our internal roster of premium creators, please fill out the intake application below that corresponds with your age and email your video audition assets to admin@curiousbunnyproductions.com
We keep your video audition assets on file - this means you're not constantly auditioning! Once you're booked for a project, we'll send you an email with the rate, script, and other details.
*Audition instructions & examples can be found here: bit.ly/CBP_ugcexamples
*If you are fluent in another language, you may send in a UGC sample video speaking in that language, as well as English.
