A New Chapter for UTDA Begins Next Week + Industry Insight
By Abigail Hardin, May 21, 2026
Happy Thursday, UTDA!
Over the years, UTDA has continued to grow alongside this industry and the actors we serve. What started as a resource for staying informed and connected has evolved into a platform used daily by actors across the country to research the business, target opportunities, track relationships, and take consistent action in their careers.
And like many long-running platforms, there eventually comes a moment where you realize that continuing to build onto the old foundation is no longer enough.
That’s why next week, we’ll officially begin rolling out a completely new UTDA interface.
This first phase is not about flashy gimmicks or reinventing everything overnight. Instead, our focus has been creating a cleaner, more streamlined, and more modern experience that makes the platform easier to navigate and more enjoyable to use day-to-day — whether you’re researching representation, tracking industry contacts, or planning your next career move.
Most importantly, this new interface creates the foundation for future improvements and additional tools we plan to continue rolling out in the weeks and months ahead.
While many of the core databases and resources you already use will remain familiar, you will notice significant improvements to the overall experience, organization, and usability of the platform.
Here’s a first look at part of the new interface:

Cleaner layouts, improved organization, and a more streamlined user experience across desktop and mobile.
Many of these changes were inspired directly by feedback we’ve received from actors over the years.
As we make the transition to the new UTDA experience, the site may be temporarily unavailable at points over the holiday weekend while we complete final updates and improvements behind the scenes. Also, we want to reassure members that your existing account information, resources, and referral points will remain intact throughout the rollout process.
This has been an enormous undertaking behind the scenes, and we’re incredibly excited to finally begin sharing this next chapter of UTDA with you.
Thank you, as always, for growing with us.
