By Abigail Hardin, May 30, 2023
Happy Tuesday, UTD!
I hope you had a wonderful, long, holiday weekend! As we move into the unofficial start of Summer, there is a lot going on with the WGA strike and contract negotiations between the AMPTP, the DGA, and SAG-AFTRA. If you have questions about how all of this affects production I hope you have registered for our free workshop later today! We will be going over the details of the current strike and actions you can take to move your career forward during this time of negotiations.

Annie and I can't wait to answer your questions and dispel any fears associated with the WGA strike or pending contract negotiations.
Now, onto the news! 😎
NY Performance Opportunity
Our friends at Creative Stage Collective are seeking adult and youth (ages 8-17) artists to round out their multi-generational performing troupe for both paid performances and unpaid performing opportunities in their 2023-2024 season. Read more from them below!
CSC has performed at Carnegie Hall (Fall Family Day), Symphony Space, and in collaboration with Concert Artist Guild, and the New Zealand Trio. Adult CSC artists have credits that range from Broadway, the Metropolitan Opera, Network television, and feature films. Our mission is to bring the power of the imaginative ideas of children to the stage with our multi-generational troupe.
Creative Stage Collective offers monthly meetups so that youth and adults can come together in the spirit of creative play through singing, dance, improv games and exercises to build skills, and devise new material for our upcoming shows. All of those who are part of the CSC troupe are encouraged to take part in these free multi-generational workshops led by industry experts. Those invited to lead sessions will receive a stipend.
Interested adult artists should send resume and photo to info@creativestagecollective.org. CSC is currently casting for Summer Shebang! (September 9 and 10, 2023) $950 flat rate.
Interested youth artists are encouraged to attend our next Quarterly Open Day Workshop on June 10 at 154 W 93rd St. from 1-3. This is a free workshop (not a traditional audition). RSVP is required as space is limited.
